Privacy Policy

Protecting your personal data matters to us. This privacy policy informs you in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data on this website.

1. Data controller

The controller within the meaning of Art. 4(7) GDPR for this website (information site for the holiday home Haus Bilby, Helgoländer Straße 24, Wyk auf Föhr) is:

Maria Petrina
Hofweg 69
22085 Hamburg
Germany
Phone: +49 175 21 97 559
Email: info@hausbilbyfoehr.de

2. General information

This website provides information about our holiday home Haus Bilby in Wyk auf Föhr. We only process personal data to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and to answer your enquiries. Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), on the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Hosting and access data

This website is provided via the Lovable platform (lovable.dev) and delivered through its technical infrastructure, including a content delivery network. When you access the website, the hosting provider necessarily processes connection data, in particular your IP address, date and time of access, the address requested, browser and device information and, where applicable, the previously visited page (referrer). This is required to deliver the website and to protect it against misuse and attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable provision of the website. The type and duration of any storage of this data are determined by the hosting provider; we do not analyse this data ourselves. As service providers of the platform may also be based outside the EU (in particular in the USA), processing in third countries cannot be ruled out.

4. Contact

This website has no contact form that transmits or stores data. The “Open email program” function on the contact page only prepares a message in your own email program; it is sent only when you send it there yourself. If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, content of your message) exclusively to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling your request). Your data will be deleted once the purpose for storage no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

5. Bookings via faf.de

Bookings are handled exclusively via the agency Ferien auf Föhr (faf.de). When you use the booking link, you leave this website and the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. Please refer to their notice for details of their data processing.

6. External content and services

On individual pages we embed map content from Google Maps. The map is only loaded after you have explicitly consented by clicking (two-click solution, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Only then is data – in particular your IP address – transmitted to Google. We also link to external providers (including faf.de, Instagram, restaurant and activity websites). These are only loaded when you click a link. We have no control over their data processing; the privacy policies of the respective providers apply. The fonts used are embedded locally in the website; no connection to Google Fonts or other font providers is made when the page is loaded.

7. Cookies and local storage

We do not use any analytics, tracking or marketing services on this website. The language version (German/English) is determined solely by the address you open (English pages start with /en); nothing is stored in your browser for the language choice.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights: access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21) and the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. An informal message to info@hausbilbyfoehr.de is sufficient to exercise your rights.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your residence, workplace or place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR). The supervisory authority competent for the controller is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, HmbBfDI), www.datenschutz-hamburg.de.

9. Data security

The website is delivered via an encrypted HTTPS connection (TLS) to protect the transmission of your data.

10. Currency of this policy

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services. The new privacy policy will apply on your next visit.
